New Domain Extension Update: .DOCTOR, .SHOP, .GAMES Available to Pre-Register Now

There are several new TLD's (domain extensions) available to pre-register now, and will enter general availability soon. You can pre-register .BLOG, .SHOPPING, .GAMES, .DOCTOR, and .SHOP right now. .ORG price increase on August 20th, 2016

The Public Interest Registry (PIR) , the Registry Operator for the .ORG domain, will be increasing its annual registration/transfer and renewal price for .ORG TLD. As a result of this, we will need to raise our pricing for the .ORG domain name extension which will be reflected within your account on August 20th, 2016. Note regarding a recent Enom service issue

Late last week, Enom experienced intermittent issues in which our customers' information changes failed to update quickly and some systems appeared to act erratically. We want to give you a little clarity on what happened and our response since: First, your updates are safe and our systems remained operational throughout. The issue revolved around how changes – including items like account updates, DNS updates, reports, and WHOIS data – were replicated so that they would be “visible” to you. For instance, if you purchased a domain, it may have failed to show up in your domain control panel. The domain would still be yours, however. As of now, all of your data should be current again. Second, as you might expect, our main priority during this period was making sure your changes were visible in all our systems. This work is what made systems appear erratic at times. Changes to the domain transfer policy coming in December 2016

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the organization that effectively governs Internet infrastructure,  announced an official date for a new policy  regarding domain name transfers for all gTLDs (non-country code domains). The change will go into effect for all users on  December 1, 2016 . The Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy ICANN is revising its Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy (IRTP) in an effort to reduce the risk of fraud and “ domain hijacking .” It will now require domain name registrants to complete additional steps in order to confirm a transfer to another party. At the same time, it will also affect any domain name registrant making routine changes to their contact information.
